While we pride ourselves on taking advantage of the best available technologies for any particular project, there are several in which we have expert experience:
Zope is a high performance and extremely flexible open source web application server written primarily in Python. We use it as the core platform on which the majority of our solutions a developed and deployed. Zope includes its own HTTP, FTP, WebDAV and XML-RPC serving capabilities but can also be used in conjunction with Apache, Squid and other front-end proxy servers. It features a pluggable component architecure enabling numerous open source and commercial components to be used as part of a solution.
We are a member of the Zope Association UK.
Plone is a content management application built on top of Zope's Content Management Framework. It provides a standards compliant and internationalized content management application out of the box but can prove painful to customize and maintain. For this reason, we are happy to work with existing Plone solutions, and have rescued several that have gone astray, but would only recommend it where a multi-lingual solution is required.
Principal consultant, Chris Withers, is a member of the Plone Foundation.
Reportlab produce a wide range of tools for generating dynamic, content-rich PDF from any data source as part of any application. We have worked with Reportlab in the past to integrate their software with Zope to provide complete content management solutions for both print and the web.
We are a Reportlab Partner.
Python is an extremely powerful cross-platform, dynamic scripting language. Its clean syntax leads to greatly more maintainable code and the vast array of libraries available provide the base functionality required to solve just about any problem.
As well as using python in the context of Zope, Plone and Reportlab applications, we can provide specialist standalone python development including Python CGI.
