URL for Squish
Squishdot Posted by Bob Dushok on Friday September 22, 03:37PM, 2000
from the Working-but-still-tweaking-the-config-dept. dept.
I've setup Squish using the built in web server and it's running perfectly. Unfortunately, I think I've screwed something up during the install. My URL looks like: http://(servername):8080/Control_Panel/Products/Squishdot/Intranet. Can I make Intranet (the Squish web I created) be located at the root web, leaving the server run at port 8080? Thanks, Bob

Well...*normally* you'd install Squishdot in the root folder, not in the Control Panel...just go to http://(servername):8080/manage and use the "Add Component" widget at the bottom of the right frame.

I'll bet he's running a debian installation. Being a debianite and a zope newbie myself, I freely admit that it took me quite a while to figure out the url for my new site after I created it.

The guy doing of the debian squishdot package appears to be John Goerzen <jgoerzen@complete.org>

I don't know if there's a more clever (or better still, more canonical) way to set this stuff up then he might appreciate knowing it (in a friendly way, of course).
