Why don't replies show up?

from the dept.
I have replied to the query of another poster, yet, unlike normally, the resply does not show up immediately, or, after one day, even at all.

I have replied to the query of another poster, yet, unlike normally, the resply does not show up immediately, or, after one day, even at all. This seems very much like some sort of problem to me (and explains the dearth of responses), particulalry since this inhibits interaction. Is this part of the ongoing problems? Harry

This is because I still have it set so that I have to approve/moderate each article posting and comment. I do this not only to weed out inappropriate content but also in order to edit it for presentation.

One current limitation of version of Squishdot which this site is using is that there is no preview screen (This has been added to the latest version, though). So article posters/commenters never have a chance to preview how their posting will look like prior to actually posting it, and when they do, they can't change it anymore. Moderation allows me the chance to clean it up before anyone else sees it.

If you really want a quick response to your question, you could always join the Squishdot mailing list and post your question there and you could probably get a faster response. Most questions would probably best asked there, anyway.

I do try to moderate the postings here at least once a day, though.
