Can Squishdot support 16bit Char?

I'm a user from Far East, I want to setup a Server , But do not know is it 8bit clean?

I've cleaned up the code in (ver 0.3.0) so all input/output are html-quoted (e.g. touché is stored as touché and will be editable as touché but it will be displayed as touché); I don't know if this means that Squishdot is 8bit clean, though. Try it out and see...

    No. After HTML-quoting 16 bit text, it'll still display OK in Netscape, but it'll look like garbage in IE (the correct behavior).
    To be "16 bit friendly" squishdot should leave 16 bit text as is.
