How to Add a LoginManager to Squishdot?
|
Posted by on Sunday April 01, 02:49PM, 2001
from the Desperately need help dept.
Hi there....I'm looking for help on installing and incorporating the "LoginManager" product with my Squishdot site, Have you done this before....can you help?
At the moment I have Squishdot ver 1.0 installed and its working perfectly, but I've tried installing the LoginManager product & I get a "DynPersist" traceback error....and the "product management" thingy in the control panel tells me I've a broken product....help!
Here's a little more detail for you, if you can help...
Running Zope 2.3.1b on Windows ME
(I've searched the Zope mail archives @ NIPltd and
seen that a lot of people have posted similar messages to this but unfortunately I can't find any posted solutions!)
I understand that the Dynpersist element in the products/loginmanager directory must be compiled first but how do I do this in Windows?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers!

Regarding dynpersist, search in the zope and zope-dev mailinglists on www.zope.org. Someone recently offered a DLL file for your windows box for downloading.
zopezen.org has links to the various search services for these mailinglists which AFAIK live on nipltd.com, activestate.com and egroups.com, sadly not on zope.org . Warning: none of them is perfect.
Or you just browse the archives on zope.org by hand, I'm pretty sure this was in March 2001.
Regards, Thilo

I'd suggest waiting for Swishdot, or look at the CMF now. LoginManager is unpleasant to work with.

Search the zope and zope-dev archives again. I posted a compiled version of DynPersist.dll ages ago.
