How much customization is possible in squishdot?
Newbies Posted by Filippo on Wednesday July 11, 10:47AM, 2001
from the dept.
I see lots of squishdot powered site.. they are all the same. Changes the colours, the images but they have the same 90% of html.
Is possible to customize hard squishdot?

I mean have very different html beside the posting, I mean have very different structure of columns and of header and footer.
In one word: change drammatically the html.

Example of minor customization: It is possible to have images displayed inside a posting?

Thanks to all from a very zope/squishdot newbie.

Filippo

Yes, you can do anything you want. The dtml source is all there. You don't have to use the demos if you don't want to. Most of us just find it easier that way.

you probably see squishdot sites with drastic customizing all the time, but don't reconize that it's squishdot.

images on the page, different columns, all that, and any sort of display of the messages is possible, and pretty easy.

    here's an image:

Following sites use squishdot, around a custom design:
        http://www.nanotechnews.com
        http://www.nanoinvestornews.com
        http://www.futureai.com
        http://www.bioreceptor.com
        http://www.memscenter.com
        http://www.gophotonic.com

And more are on the way as soon as I see that swishdot is stable enough.
