How can I create reply to post notification on-screen
Newbies Posted by Pierre Humphries on Friday June 22, 04:06PM, 2001
from the only one hour to the weekend dept.
I want something to inform users that there is a new post (be it an article or a reply) that they have yet to view.

Some text or a picture next to the article post would be ideal. Any ideas of the best way to go about this.

    Short answer:

Use cookies to set the "last visit date" and change the graphics to emphasize the new postings since this last visit.

This is explained with examples in a lesson of the Elvis Zope tutorial (included with Zope).

Hope I helped and sorry, I need a couple of hours for the long and complete answer (you'll get by yourself cause you're a clever guy)

Hi Gilles, I'm actually not all that clever with these kinda things.

I have examined and understood the example. What I don't understand is applying it to SquishDot. Is it something to do with ?? Where does Squish store the posts?

I'd be forever greatful if you could help me in more detail.

      thanks

      Pierre
