Mail without a valid from address and no subject
Newbies Posted by Craig Ozancin on Friday April 06, 07:16PM, 2001
from the dept.

I am using the admin_address to forward new posts and replies to a email list (mailman). The fowards arive ok, but they are missing a valid frome address and the subject is not set.

Is this normal? Can it be fixed?

I've a similar problem--I set e-mail headers in mail_html yet they appear in the body. It seems that mailhost puts on its own headers and considers all of the message to be body text, whether or not it actually is.

Yeah, this is correct. The mail sending process in Squishdot does it's own setting of headers.

mail_html is not used in a dtml sendmail tag!

I didn't choose this design, but it works so I'm leaving it as it is ;-)

        Hmmm... I lied.

Squishdot just uses the MailHost's .send method.
I'll check this out, but it appears as if ti should behave just like a normal sendmail tag.

I'll get back to you if I find out more...

        cheers,

        Chris
