Postchanging Attachements in Articles
Squishdot Posted by Peter Bengtsson on Friday April 06, 10:38AM, 2001
from the admin-a-squishdot-intranet-site dept.

People on my intranet like the attachment feature. They post articles with MS Word documents as attachments very often. People then realise that the Word document is wrong and ask me to change it.

"You can't" I say and ask them to repost it, whilst I delete the old attempt.

What's truth?
Can you change the attachments?
Where's that data/object stored?

You'd think that would be fairly easy, since attachments are stored in a field called "file" in each posting...

...anybody want to devise a patch to do just that? (Upload a new attachment from the management screens or, if the poster is logged in, allow them to change their attachment.)
