Looking for a Zope + Squishdot ISP
Newbies Posted by Manoj E.G. on Thursday March 08, 07:20AM, 2001
from the I-am-a-newbie-need-help-heeeeelllllllpppp..dept. dept.
I am looking for a reliable ISP who provides Zope hosting with Apache. Of course I need Squishdot already installed as a product or the ISP should allow me to install it.

I am from India, so it is imperative that I be able topay using a Credit Card over the internet. I would prefer a *nix Box hosting, and Telnet/ftp for all my admin/file upload purposes. Ideas anyone?

    Try http://www.nipltd.net, that's where Squishdot.org is hosted :-)

If you need telnet and ftp, I'd recommend the Professional option.

    cheers,

    Chris

    www.mylinuxisp.com

They charge my credit card every month.

They have Zope hosting. I beleive squish would not be a problem for them.

We use CodeIt for our service provider and they do a good job for basic hosting.

Are there any free servers that host zope type packages such as squishdot?

I'm currently with PHP now but I'd like to try out Python, and wont buy an ISP for that reason.

      Try http://www.nipltd.net/ (Thanks chris ;)
These guys have a free service which comes with Squishdot etc. pre-installed.

You may also want to try the free two month trial offer(for eveluating if payig the ISP is a good idea after all) available at
      http://www.codeit.com/services/index2_html
      (Thanks tyelmene)

      Hope this helps

Another place that has free Zope hosting and Squishdot is zopesite.com. Their upgrade path seems reasonable too.
