Anybody Running Squishdot on Zope 2.2.2/2.2.4 ?
Squishdot Posted by Chris on Thursday November 30, 09:27AM, 2000
from the dept.
Has anyone here tried running Squishdot on Zope 2.2.2 or above ? I'm wondering if I'm the only person experiencing this problem, where posting replies fail. Does anyone have a workaround for this ? Thanks.

    I am.

    Squishdot.org is.

    www.bay-c.co.uk is.

If you problems persist, perhaps you could post a bug into the Bug Tracking System

I'm running Zope 2.2.2 and Squishdot 0.7.1 on a debian system. zope sources came from the unstable debian release, and squishdot sources came from the stable release. works fine.

Squishdot 0.7.2 on Zope 2.2.2 and 2.2.4 works just fine.

<vaguely recalls seeing this problem before somewhere and later seeing a patch for it appear...>

<-- also recalls that it was a Zope problem of some sort and got fixed. Well, it could have been a Squish problem but I think it was Zope. Either way it was annoying.

Poking around Google reveals: "namespace() now insists that its self argument be an InstanceDict, which caused it to barf."

You sure you're running 2.2.4 and not some older beta?

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the help :) ... I'm thinking it might be a zope issue ... I've tried it on Zope 2.2.2 and 2.2.4 but the same problem occured ... maybe it's an issue specific to Zope on Windoze. I'll try squishdot on Zope 2.2.4 on Linux later and see if the same problem occurs. I'm assuming all of you are running Zope on Linux ? :)

I'm running 7.2, win95b and Zope 2.2.4. I can reply to postings. For some strange reason the searches are coming back empty. I'ts not finding anything on related searches either. They could be related. I'll have to look more into my problem. They both could be path related.
