Auto-Approval of Moderator Postings
Squishdot Posted by Hank on Tuesday September 26, 07:47PM, 2000
from the dept.
Is it possible to set Squishdot to auto-approve postings made by someone with "Manage Squishdot" permissions or who is a manager?

    ...in short.

Of course, someone could always hack Squishdot.py to do this and send me a patch :-)

    cheers,

    Chris

well i think that would require some sort of login or email recognition which I dont think squish supports yet you could always go un-moderated and just delete posts you dont want...

    my 2 cents =)

    Howdy,

Would a "Posting" tab in the admin view be out of the question? Basicallly the posting form with auto-approval.

I'm no Python programmer (yet!), so you probably don't want me hacking the source ;-)

I just got my Squishdot site running and I've been searching around for an answer to that very question. Basically, I would love the ability to grant certain people the ability to post articles without me having to moderate them (or give them access to zope). A username/password login would be great for something like that, but of course, goes far beyond the scope of my ability to do myself :)

...seeing this thread reminded me I need to work more on Swishdot, aka Squishdot for PTK, which will address this issue.

    cheers,

    Chris
