Squishdot 0.4.0 Released
Squishdot Posted by Chris on Sunday May 28, 05:03PM, 2000
from the at-long-last dept.
Squishdot 0.4.0 is now available from here.

The following major changes were made:

  • Squishdot now uses ZCatalog searching and indexing.
  • MIME mail notification is now correctly formatted and there is the option to have plain text mail notification.
There are some other small changes and improvements.

If you run into problems, remember Squishdot has a mailing list at eGroups and a bug collector on SourceForge.

Sounds like a good update. Thanks.

This brings up a question I've seen asked here before, but not answered: Is there any simple way of upgrading a customized Squishdot site to a new version, other than rebuilding it from scratch?

I certainly can't think of any, but I'm hoping I'm overlooking something. I just finished developing a new site, and was just about to put it on line...

If you're coming from version 0.3.4 or 0.3.2, you should only need to change one method. Your old design should work fine.

Full details are on zope.org in the 'Squishdot 0.3.4+' product.

      Hope this helps...
