Using Zope user information to identify posting
Newbies Posted by Blair on Friday November 29, 01:02AM, 2002
from the flog-me-if-I-missed-it-in-a-FAQ dept.
I'm setting up a Squishdot site to facilitate intra-departmental discussions, and am wondering if I can take advantage of Zope logins to identify article and comment sources.

Since the SQD I'm setting up with be for use solely within our department, and since our staff already have Zope logins, I was wondering if there is a mechanism that would allow Squishdot to locate the name and e-mail address of a person posting based on whatever username they're logged in with.

My apologies if this is a FAQ and I've missed it.

I know people who say they've got this working, I'd try googling around for a bit and see if you can find anything.

Come to think of it, there's probably an article somewhere on Squishdot.org...

    cheers,

    Chris

Just after posting this question I saw the article entitled addPostingForm and searchForm Author Information, which gave me the information I needed to set things up for our site.

Sorry for not being as observant as I should have been, and thanks for the feedback!
