Adding more variables to Article and Reply classes
Squishdot Posted by Moshe Buhboot on Wednesday January 23, 11:16AM, 2002
from the dept.
I am looking for a way to extend Squishdot - in order for me to be able to do it cleanly I need a way to add variables to each article posting or reply.

Hi,

I would like to customize Squishdot look & feel and also behaviour. In order for me to do it, I will need to add some more custom fields to the article posting class and the reply class- what is the best approach?

Moshe

    This one ain't easy.

Maybe make Posting subclass PropertyManager, then you can store any extra fields you need as Zope properties.

The CMF may be a better option for you, though...

    cheers,

    Chris
